Located on a farm about 1 mile from the small rural village of Capel Dewi and around 2.5 miles from Llandysul. On the farm is a landmark glacial feature called Cerrig Hyllod (‘The Ugly Stones’) and visitors are welcome to follow the woodland path along the riverbank and up a fairly steep hill to the stony outcrop. Local history relates how these giant stones served in earlier times as a pulpit for a popular Welsh preacher who lived in the valley. Within walking distance, you can also visit Rock Mills, one of the few working traditional woollen mills left in the country, and the Honorwood Flock farm and shop specialising in Shetland and Icelandic fleeces and Angora mohair.
Walking club meets 10.30am every Tuesday at Llandysul Park, new walk each week.
Road walk from pub to local honey and cheese farms at Bwlch Y Groes...around 8 miles there and back...visit the bees!
Nearby is the Teifi Trail, part of the National Cycle Network, which will take our cycling visitors through some wonderful scenery to the coast at Cardigan, or inland to the wild beauty of the nature reserves around Tregaron.
